DEPOSIT
Retainer and Payments: 50% of the total amount of services is required to secure the date of your event. This retainer will be used toward the client’ s total event/wedding day balance. This retainer is NON-REFUNDABLE. The remainder of the balance s required the week before the event and extras are paid on the day of the event. (Note: Trials and Retainer fees are two separate costs.) All payments are subject to tax, including cash. Payments are accepted by cash or Interact E-Transfer (TorresDomingoHairandMakeup@gmail.com) or by Credit Card through HelcimCANCELLATIONS
In the event Client cancels the contract of the scheduled event date, the retainer is NON-REFUNDABLE and the Client will lose retainer made to the Artist. If the Client cancels with less than 7 days’ notice, prior to the scheduled event, the Client will lose the retainer and pay 50% of the quoted rate. The same rules apply if one person in the party cancels with less than 7 days’ notice.MOBILE SERVICES
Require a minimum of 3 services totaling $400 before tax. Otherwise, an additional fee will be added to a 1 Person mobile booking. Earliest start time is 4 a.m. Early start fees apply between start times of 4 a.m.–7 a.m. $25/hr. The Artist will set up 10-15 minutes before "start time" to set up. You will not be charged extra for set up time.BRIDAL TRIAL
Must be scheduled at least 2-3 months before wedding/event and will be held on Monday - Thursday excluding long weekends). Please bring hair extensions and any additional accessories (ex. veil, hairpieces).TRAVEL AND PARKING
Travel fee starts at $.75/per KM from 10516 Bradbury Dr SW, Calgary, Alberta (round trip) minimum of $30 per artist, and any parking fees. Travel fees also apply to trials. Extra fees apply if we need to go to more than one location/return to the same location later in the day for the touch up. If more than 6 services are required before 1 p.m., another hairstylist/make up artist may be needed, travel fees will apply from their starting location, parking fee(s), and early start fees (if applicable). Where parking, valet, or toll fees may be incurred. This amount will be included in the final invoice due on the day of the event.ACCOMMODATIONS
If the artist is travelling by plane, we ask that the flight (Round trip) and hotel (one night) is covered. If the artist must travel over 1 hour and must start services before 6 a.m., we ask that accommodations (one night) is provided close to the getting ready location. These fees will reflect on your invoice.TOUCH UPS
Touch up fee is $75/hour to stay on location. Time starts after the artist has fully completed services for the party until they leave the site. Amount of time must be discussed prior to service date. Purchasing a lipstick prior and using it for touch ups if I will not be staying on location. Although lipstick can be long lasting, it can fade with eating or drinking.A mini touch up kit will be provided to clients receiving our makeup services.
HAIR EXTENSIONS
Hair extensions can be purchased for you in advance. An additional $50 fee if prep (washing and blow-drying) is needed. You may also purchase and prep the extensions yourself; prep instructions will be included.ALLERGIES/CONDITIONS
Make up products used are hypoallergenic. Any allergies and/or skin/scalp conditions should be reported by the client to the artist prior to service, and if need be, a patch test can be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the artist of Torres Domingo Hair and Make Up from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions. The Artist is unable to perform any hair service if the client has lice, or make up services on open wounds.ACT OF GOD
Artist’s obligation to perform services hereunder is subject to the unavailability of the Artist, as a result of an accident, acts of God, pandemic, and other reasons beyond the artist’s control. In this case, the Artist will notify the Client ASAP, help find coverage, and/or return the deposit to the Bride/Client.DELAYS
A late fee of $20.00 will be charged for every 30 minutes of delay when a client is late for the scheduled time, or if the scheduled hair service/make up application exceeds the allotted time due to client delays. Ex. client keeps getting up and leaving the room, client keeps answering phone calls during make up application.TIMELINE WITH NAMES
In order for your day to run smoothly, please inform me of your timeline preference. If someone needs to leave sooner we will start with them. Example: If your bridal suite opens at a certain time, your timeline starting point will need to be known to determine if we need a second artist. A timeline will be created for you. -
Please wear a button or zip up shirt so you do not disrupt the hair or make up. It is preferable to bring white clothing after the trial is complete, to see how hair/make up will look on the wedding day.
HAIR:
Please shampoo your hair with a clarifying shampoo two times. First shampoo, you will not have much lather, second shampoo with lather more. Make sure to apply the shampoo to the top of your head and the back as well, below the occipital bone (many people miss this area). Shampoo, and only condition if you have extremely dry hair. If you have soft hair please only shampoo, do not condition. For those with oily hair, shampoo the morning of and do not condition. Gently towel dry the hair (you do not want to rough up the cuticle) and brush with a Tangle Teezer starting from the bottom of the hair, working your way up to the root. Please have your hair 100% dry, either air dried or blowdried. This is extremely important. The hair will not hold well with any dampness. If your hair feels cold, it means it is still wet, and you must blowdry it. Do not use any styling tools such as curling irons or flat irons.HAIR EXTENSIONS:
New extensions have a film on them, they have been previously styled, and will not hold curl well straight out of the box. If you bought new extensions please wash them with clarifying shampoo 3 times, a few days before a trial, and a few days before the wedding/event. Brush and lay them flat to dry. They should not feel cold to touch when they are 100% dry. They must be 100% dry for the best hold on the day of service. If they still feel wet you will be required to blow-dry them while you are waiting to get your hair done. Do not use any styling tools such as curling irons or flat irons on the extensions.
